Building Images: Expect the Unexpected

DVA Student Work

This work was done by a previous MIT Student in the Diploma of Visual Arts programme. It was made with the detailed line drawings drawn with fine ink pen on tracing paper against blocks of black, white and orange paint on solid white paper. What I like most about this work is how they both contrast really well - tight intricate patterns versus loose blurry blocks of colour in the background. The drawings remind me of Indian henna designs.

Emma Mclellan

This work was done by Emma Mclellan whose work is based around painting and print making. I really like the blue colour palette of this work, the colours harmonise well. I also like how the painting seems unfinished as it doesn't cover the whole canvas but looks best incomplete.

Sharlene Forde

Sharlene Forde, MSVA

This is an image of Sharlene Forde's work space. I  really like how all her works are different but stick to the same theme creating a series of works. I like how all her works relate to each other through the use of a pink colour palette and pretty flowery patterns and doilies.
